INSTRUCTIONS
1. Use a Fireproof Container:
When selecting a container for your candle pearls™ and candle sand, opt for one that is made of fireproof material, and a container that is large enough to keep the melt pool away. We suggest using a container at least 3 - 4” wide with our sand candles or pearl candles.
TIP: Using a clear glass container will allow you to demonstrate the beauty of your pearls.
1. Keep 1/4th of the Wick Above the Candle Surface
Before lighting your candle, ensure that about 1/4th of the wick is visible above the pearls. Maintain about 2 inches of pearls around the wick to prevent the melt pool from reaching the container's edge. In larger containers, consider using multiple wicks or trimming them for shorter containers.
2. Voila! Light your Pearled Candles
Once your candle pearls are in a fireproof container with the right amount of wick showing, you're ready to light them up! They're environment friendly, biodegradable, and compostable, setting them apart from most candle products on the market. Our custom-designed wick, made of 100% cotton, is coated with the same wax as the pearls.
So now all you need to do is enjoy the warm and comforting light they provide.
3. Easy refresh
You can easily refresh the candle whenever you like! First extinguish the candle and wait for about 10 min. Once the wax hardens you can pull the solidified wax or “pancake” out, refill the pearls if needed, and place a new wick. A new candle is ready! Alternatively you can continue burning the same wick until it completely runs out.
HOW TO MAINTAIN SAFETY?
With just a few precautionary steps, Pearled Candles can become one of the safest candles you can buy for yourself. And with no doubt, they are better than the traditional candles.
Pro Tip: Keep the wick away from the edge and bottom of the container. Precisely, there should be a minimum of 2 inches of pearls encircling the wick in a container with a width of at least 4 inches, and a minimum of 1 inch of pearls beneath the wick.
How does doing this help? Well, if by chance your Candle is left burning, the flame will extinguish itself upon reaching the end of the wick without heating the container. Similarly, if the candle is accidentally tipped over, it will also self-extinguish.
Other safety measures are:
- Keep the candle pearls out of reach of children and pets.
- Burn the candles on or near surfaces where the risk of fire is minimal.
If you follow these instructions and safety measures, you need not worry about anything else. Our pearls are plant-based and non-toxic. Additionally, you can enhance the experience by adding a few drops of essential oil to the melted wax. But, make sure you don’t directly add the oil onto the burning wick.
